This tea dissolves well in hot or very warm water, but clumps up in mildly warm and lukewarm water. Does not dissolve at all in cold water and basically turns into tiny little clumps at the bottom of the cup. It is not a very strong tea, but you can just add more powder to increase strength. The tea has a fruity smell and initial taste, it very strongly reminds me of dried apples, but this goes away if you let the tea sit for a minute after you add the water and mix in. The packet says to use 1/8 of a teaspoon in a cup, but I find this to make a dreadfully weak tea. I like stronger teas and so use ½ of a heaped teaspoon in a 400ml cup, but you can half this for a normal strength cup of tea. For reference on my definition of strong tea, I usually use two extra strong tea bags in the same 400ml cup, and leave them to brew for about half an hour. My tea often looks like coffee before I pour the milk in. On a side note, this tea also works great with milk alternatives. The tea does not separate at all, I even left a cup in the fridge for three days (with no milk in it) to test it, and after the three days it was still perfectly dissolved with no settling at the bottom of the cup. With all that being said, while I do wish it had a bolder taste, I adore this tea for the convenience. If you love tea but hate having to wait for the bag to brew to your desired strength, give it a go. There is nothing quite like being able to have a tea of decent strength in less than 15 seconds. Will absolutely be buying again.
