This is a great low salt spice. I sprinkle it on my toast with olive oil. Tastes lemony overall. The sesame seeds give it a nice crunch. Another plus is than it is organic!

Such a marine- fishy smell. I didn' t ever expect that such a combinastion of simple spicies can be, including lemon peel. Very interesting and calling to try to cook smth!

I sprinkle this on top of hummus and pita and it tastes great together. This seasoning has a mild but delicious flavor and adds a great aroma to the food without overpowering the natural flavor of the hummus. Would recommend trying this if you like hummus and are looking for a new way to mix things up.

I get that Za'atar blends vary greatly depending on where you are in the Middle East. I knew before I bought this item that it is lacking a key ingredient in Za'atar - which is Sumac. McCormick compensates for that here by adding lemon peel and lemon oil, which works fine but is not quite the same. Another missing important ingredient is Hyssop -- which can be substituted with thyme and marjoram (to compensate for the floral notes). I totally missed the part that this blend only contains oregano and thyme, so the floral notes are missing. TO be clear, this is not a bad blend. It tastes pretty good for the price and organic too - but if you're looking for an authentic za'atar flavor profile, this is not an exact match.

I always wanted to try this spice but couldn’t find in the stores. This is very interesting and you can sprinkle it on hot meals or your sandwiches- it gives something interesting to the food and definitely worth trying.

Nice spice, but not enough Zaatar flavor.not the usual Israeli flavor we are used to in Israel. Nice alternative if nothing else is available , but definitely not the best zaatar.
