I don't usually use these ready made mixes, but my friends had just finished telling me about the delicious cornbread they ate over the holidays, and I guess I had a craving. I eat low carb, and I'm used to monk fruit, erythritol and maltitol as sugar substitutes, but I don't particularly like stevia... however, this is not meant to be a sweet treat, so there is very little sweetener in the mix and I didn't notice any aftertaste at all. Follow the instructions... especially on how to cool and store. I cut and froze in small pieces and then microwaved for about 10 seconds, added a bit of butter and enjoyed every last piece.
I ordered this for the first time.. it says that the main flour is almond flour so i wanted to try it on my regular gluten free pancake recipe but it was a little bit fragile.. then i used the same recipe in the waffle machine and it ccame out perfectly good.. its good quality, affordable on promotion, highly recommended.. Recipe: 1/2 cup milk of any kind 1 cup flour 1 tbs maple syrup Vanilla 1 egg 1tesp baking powder If it was regular almond flour it will come out good as pancakes but this mix i recommend using it as waffle recipe.
This baking mix is wonderful and simple to make. I use a cast iron biscuit pan and a 3 T cookie scoop to make 7 large biscuits. Makes great low carb sandwiches. Thanks for selling this at a great discount.
I bought this hot my husband as he wishes to buy down on his carbohydrate intake. He loves it saying that it is even better tasting than the regular corn bread. The quality is also high!! Highly recommended.
